Mia Khalifa, a controversial adult entertainer, expressed her support for Hamas militants who carried out attacks in southern Israel over the weekend, resulting in the tragic loss of more than 800 lives.
Khalifa, formerly known for her work in the adult entertainment industry and now active on X (formerly Twitter), has been vocal about the unexpected and deadly attacks on a country she has previously characterized as an “apartheid state.”
On October 7, she posted a tweet that raised eyebrows, where she wrote, “Can someone tell the Palestinian freedom fighters to turn their phones around and shoot horizontally?” Her tweet alluded to the ongoing conflict and drew attention from both supporters and critics.
Khalifa also shared screenshots of messages from those who urged her to delete her posts, and retweeted others who shared her sentiments. She continued to make controversial statements, saying, “I can’t believe the Zionist apartheid regime was overthrown by guerrilla fighters wearing fake Gucci shirts – biographies of these moments better reflect this.”
In one of her tweets, she shared a screenshot of a video that seemed to show Hamas militants firing into an Israeli city while a police car sped past. Additionally, Khalifa criticized Kylie Jenner’s now-deleted post in support of Israel following the attacks. She remarked that if real journalism existed, people would be asking Jenner about her thoughts on Middle East geopolitical tensions.
The attacks led to the tragic loss of hundreds of Israeli civilians, with at least 260 people killed at a music festival near the Gaza border. Over 700 civilians were also taken captive and held as hostages.
Mia Khalifa, of Lebanese-American heritage, had been expelled from her home country due to her involvement in the adult entertainment industry. She had also reported receiving death threats from ISIS until 2018, primarily because of her involvement in explicit scenes while wearing a hijab.
Khalifa’s support for Hamas sparked a range of responses from X users. Some criticized her stance, while others engaged in heated discussions about the ongoing conflict. It is evident that her statements have generated strong reactions from the online community, underscoring the complexities and deeply polarizing nature of the situation in the Middle East.
